Our Story
MoneySanskriti began in 2020 when our founder, Priya Sharma, a finance student at Delhi University, noticed a significant gap in financial education among her peers. Despite studying in prestigious institutions, many students lacked basic financial knowledge that would impact their future decisions.
What started as informal financial literacy sessions in college dorms quickly grew into a structured platform offering resources, guidance, and community support for students across India. Today, MoneySanskriti reaches over 50,000 students monthly, providing them with the tools and knowledge to make informed financial decisions.
Our name "MoneySanskriti" combines "Money" with "Sanskriti" (meaning culture in Hindi), reflecting our mission to cultivate a healthy financial culture among Indian youth. We believe financial literacy is not just about understanding concepts but developing habits that lead to financial well-being.
In 2022, MoneySanskriti was recognized by the National Financial Education Council for its innovative approach to financial literacy among college students. We continue to grow our community, resources, and impact across India.
